In this chapter, I explain how to go from on-screen image to hard copy. Photoshop has a lot to offer in this department. You can just flat out print an image or do much more: preview the image before its printed, change its size and position on the printed page, create a contact sheet, make a photo picture package, and even save it as an Acrobat presentation.

I have to confess that there’s a lot I don’t know, so I’m going to be totally rash and assume that you have a printer that is plugged in, turned on, and it doesn’t have a 16-ton weight sitting on top of it. In other words, your printer works.

If you’ve used your printer before, everything is probably ready to go. But if something goes wrong, check your printer’s manual for troubleshooting advice. If you can’t find a solution there and you’re lucky enough to know a local printer magician, call and ask for advice.
