The default behavior for saving reports includes identifying a directory to save all reports in and making a decision about whether to save data with the report.

What is the default directory for saving new reports and can I change it? Choose File > Options, Reporting tab, the Report Directory setting, and use the Browse button to change the directory.

Can I set Crystal to autosave my report while I’m designing it? Choose File > Options, Reporting tab, enable the Autosave Reports After option, and type a number for the repeat frequency in minutes.

I like working with thumbnail images to figure out what is inside a file. Can Crystal Reports provide a thumbnail of the first page of the report? Choose File > Options, Reporting tab, and enable the Save Preview Picture option.

I do not save the data from the database in the report when I save the report and am always unchecking this Crystal Reports option. Where can I set this as my preference? Choose File > Options, Reporting tab, and disable the Save Data With Report option.

For the current report only, choose File > Report Options and enable/disable the Save Data With Report option.

For the current report only, choose File > Save Data With Report.
