User Interface Support for Shopping Baskets

Business managers use several different modules in the Orders category in the Commerce Server Business Desk in order to manage shopping baskets:

• Basket Manager. The Basket Manager module is used to manage shopping baskets that are present in the retail Web site. An important periodic task is to search for and delete abandoned shopping baskets.
• Publish Order Codes. In this context, the Publish Order Codes module is used to update the retail Web site with any changes made using the Basket Manager module. This module is also used to update the retail Web site with changes made using other modules in the Orders category.

Site administrators manage the Transactions site resource using the Commerce Server Manager. There is not very much to this, but it is important for making sure that basket data is stored in the correct database.
