Returns information about whether the conversion from the specified source type to the specified destination type is supported.
HRESULT CanConvert ( DBTYPE wSrcType, DBTYPE wDstType);
Parameters
- wSrcType
- [in] The source type of the conversion to be verified.
- wDstType
- [in] The destination type of the conversion to be verified.
Return Code
- S_OK
- The method succeeded and the conversion is supported.
- S_FALSE
- The requested conversion is not supported.
- E_INVALIDARG
- One or more of the DBTYPE values specified was invalid.
Comments
IdataConvert::CanConvert returns information about OLE DB 1.0 compliant conversions only. In order to determine what other conversions are possible, use IDCInfo::SetInfo.
