Web site management tool
Using the FrontPage Explorer, you can graphically examine a Web site's structure. In addition, links are represented graphically to help you identify broken links. The FrontPage Explorer provides an overview of the current Web site and allows you to manage permissions, assign authoring tasks , and add Web site functionality via wizards.
Web page creation tool
Microsoft FrontPage includes a graphical "what-you-see-is-what-you-get" (WYSIWYG) authoring tool called the FrontPage Editor. Use the FrontPage Editor to:
- Author new pages.
- Maintain existing pages.
- Build pages from templates or page wizards.
Note
Microsoft Visual InterDev includes a custom version of the FrontPage Editor. Although the Editor is included in both products, Microsoft FrontPage and Microsoft Visual InterDev are separate products. Each product has its own advantages for Web site managers.
