B.4. Constraints

Unlike stereotypes and tagged values, constraints don't correspond to symbols that you use in your UML models. Constraints are also specified in the profile definition, but they impose rules or restrictions on model elements. An example of a constraint is shown in "Creating a Profile."

An introduction to constraints outside the context of profiles can be found in Chapter 5.
