SHOW CLUSTER and MONITOR CLUSTER are tools used by the manager to examine status and performance of the cluster.

Cluster design is an important effort involving many performance and cost tradeoffs.

Once created, the cluster can be expanded easily. This is an inexpensive way to expand data center capability because existing components do not have to be scrapped.
