You have to connect your video monitor to your system unit and then connect it to a power source. Do not turn on the monitor until you're ready to power on your entire system.

Connect the blue monitor cable to the blue monitor port on the back of your system unit.

Connect the monitor's power cable to a power outlet.

TIP

Digital Connections

Some newer LCD monitors use a digital DVI connection instead of the older VGA-type connection. If you have a choice, a DVI connection delivers a crisper picture than the older analog connection.
