| If you're connecting to the Internet via a dial-up connection, connect a cable from your telephone line to the modem in connector on your system unit. Then connect another cable from the modem out connector on your PC to your telephone.
- Connect one end of a telephone cable to your wall phone outlet.
- Connect the other end of this cable to the modem in connector on the back of your system unit.
- Connect a second cable between the modem out connector on your system unit and your telephone (optional).
| TIPBroadband Modems You can skip this step if you're using a cable modem or DSL modem to connect to the Internet. Wait until you have the rest of your system up and running; then follow the instructions you were given by your Internet service provider. |
