When you're creating a complex document, you need to format more than just a few words here and there. To format complete paragraphs, use Word's Paragraph dialog box.

Click anywhere within the paragraph you want to format.

Pull down the Format menu and select Paragraph.

Select the necessary options to adjust how the entire paragraph appears, including indentation, line spacing, and alignment.

Click OK when done.
