Absolute Beginners Guide to Upgrading and Fixing Your PC

Application #2: Viewing DVD Movies

If you have a DVD drive in your PC, you can use your computer to watch DVD movies. To optimize your viewing experience, of course, you'll want a big monitor (and maybe one of those nifty new widescreen models from Sony and other manufacturers) and a sound system designed for surround sound. Even a low-cost PC can do the trick, when it's equipped with the right upgrades.
