Microsoft Word Version 2002 Inside Out (Inside Out (Microsoft))

You might notice that your 3-D chart angles to the left by default. You might find, however, that the other design elements on your page have a different orientation. In this case, you need to be able to change the way the chart is directed on the page. Microsoft Graph provides elevation and rotation options for 3-D charts, which enable you to do just that:

To change the elevation, rotation, and perspective for your 3-D chart, follow these steps:

  1. Double-click the 3-D style chart to select it and display the Microsoft Graph additions to the menus and Standard toolbar.
  2. Choose Chart, 3-D View. The 3-D View dialog box appears, as Figure 19-15 shows.
  3. Experiment with Elevation options by clicking the up and down arrows until you get the effect you want.
  4. Click the Rotation buttons to turn the chart right and left as needed.
  5. Click the up and down arrows above the Perspective box to modify the depth of the 3-D chart.
  6. Click Apply to apply the new settings to the selected chart.
  7. Click OK to close the dialog box and return to Microsoft Graph.
