Microsoft Word Version 2002 Inside Out (Inside Out (Microsoft))

With all this work on the fields you've created, you don't want a coworker or user to be able to change the fields on the fly. To protect a field you've added, you can lock it. To do this, press Ctrl+F11. That keeps the field from being modified.
If you want to unlock the field, press Ctrl+Shift+F11. That returns the field to its normal, modifiable state.
If you want to protect an entire form, and not simply lock a field or two, you can use the Forms toolbar's Protect Form button to guard a form against further modification. For more information on protecting a form, see "Protecting Forms," later in this chapter.
