Biography

Mark is a managing principal in Marksoft Holdings, an international technology management firm focusing on globalization, incubation, commercialization, outsourcing, and international strategy. Mark is currently a consultant Director of Global Strategy for an international technology off shoring firm focused research, on demand prototyping, and custom software development based in New York, London, San Francisco and St.Petersburg, Russia. Mark is responsible for global strategy, market -competitive intelligence, strategic alliances, and C-Level Business Development for the international technology offshoring firm.

Mark is also serving as a strategic advisor and consultant to Medisource Ventures Group and MEC Equity Partners related management consulting, business development innovation and commercialization in Moscow, Russia. Furthermore, Mark is a strategic advisor and consultant to Global Southern Ventures, based in Houston, Texas in the innovation enterprise creation and management consulting. Mark has formed, and is an active Chairman of New York- New Jersey Technology Leadership Council. Mark is a member of US Russian Business Council, CIO Collective, and National Business Incubation Association.

Mark has advised US Government/Department of Commerce on technical policy, technology acquisition and technology ventures via the bilateral relationship with Eastern Block Countries and Russia.

Mark has recently served as a CTO and Incubator Strategy Director at IBM. Throughout his career, Mark has served as a CTO and a Strategist for several public and private companies. He has guided investments in venture opportunities that serve the strategic, portfolio, and growth ambitions of IBM partners and clients. As a Global CTO and Incubator Director at IBM Next Generation, his responsibilities ranged at worldwide level for one of the leading technology firms in the world. He has created benchmarks and critical success factors for ranking VCs, incubators and influencers. In his work, he was also responsible for creating vendor alliances and strategic relationships with investment banks and global analysts. In IBM Corporation, he created strategy, roadmap and thought leadership for worldwide Next Generation, Emerging Business opportunities, Going Global and Incubator Program. He has effectively positioned the roadmap in IBM Corporation for corporation incubation for leverage within large multi national corporations.

During his tenure at USWEB/CKS, he has acted as Global CTO, where he has managed the operational infrastructure, development methodology, and technical resources. He was responsible for leading the business and technical strategy throughout the organization. He led the implementation of multiple, high profile e-business technical solutions. Prior to USWEB/CKS, he has held a number of technology and strategic management positions within VitaSave, Qwest communications, Geotek Communications, Huffmann La Roche, and Comcast.

Mark has advised the US Government/Department of Commerce on technical policy, technology acquisition and technology ventures via the bilateral relationship with Eastern Block Countries and Russia. His expertise, experience, and skill-set are focused on globalization, incubation, strategy, technical direction and forecasting, technical management, and strategic partnerships and alliances. Mark has performed key leadership roles at Fortune 100 and emerging companies, combining strategy, business development, organizational design, strategic alliances, market intelligence, management, emerging business, and technology discipline. He has conducted due diligence, business and technical strategy. As an executive-strategic consultant, he has led incubation and business strategy movements for emerging growth companies and ventures. He has participated in the staffing of the management teams, creating a business vision, and all of the necessary relationship and partnership agreements for e-business ventures. His assignments have ranged from strategic-growth consultations and new-business creation to development of emerging market, business opportunities, and growth strategies and leadership coaching. Over his career, he has created technical methodologies, and managed the architecture of complex systems and solutions.

Mark is a world recognized speaker at universities, venture capital roundtables and United States Government events, and maintains extensive relationships with Analysts and Investment Capital, Technology companies, and Professional Services. He has participated in several key government workshops/seminars, and has been quoted in technology publications such as Infoworld, Microsoft Press for .NET solution, several international Technology Venture forums and events. Mark has participated in Sr. Government US-Russian Venture Workgroup.

Mark is currently authoring a book on Next Generation Technology Executives and Global Innovation.

Mr. Minevich holds a B.S. in Computer Science, Montclair State University and an M.B.A. in Information Management, Stevens Institute of Technology. Mr. Minevich is currently pursuing a Federal CIO Certificate at the University of Maryland.
