17.10 EIA/TIA

The Electronics Industry Association and Telecommunications Industry Association (EIT/TIA) is ANSI accredited . EIA/TIA develops U.S. standards and technical reports pertaining to equipment, and develops U.S. positions to international standards bodies (ITU, ISO, IEC). EIA/TIA T41.9 has developed technical recommendations that have assisted the FCC with Part 68 of the U.S. telecommunications rules.
