I want to adjust the distance between the page border and the edge of the page. Does Word allow me to do this?

Yes. In the Page Border tab of the Borders and Shading dialog box, click the Options button to display the Border and Shading Options dialog box. Change the values in the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right text boxes to adjust the distance. You can also clear the Surround Header and Surround Footer text boxes if you want the header and/or footer text to appear outside of the page border.

I want every section in my report to begin on a new page. Do I have to insert a manual page break above the heading for each section?

That is one way to handle it. The other option is to format the headings with the Page Break Before option that you learned about in the last hour . (Click in the heading; choose Format, Paragraph; click the Line and Page Breaks tab; mark the Page Break Before option button; and click OK.)
