The MEL Companion: Maya Scripting for 3D Artists (Charles River Media Graphics)
Overview
The companion CD-ROM contains iterative versions of the scripts for the projects within this book. The general structure is as follows :
Project_##/v#/script.mel
By using this structure, each version of a script file can be copied directly to a user s scripts directory. Note that the scripts in Chapter 12 will not function in Maya PLE, which has the file handling commands disabled.
To get the full value of this book, you should take the time to create the script files to completely understand the syntax involved.
Also included on the CD-ROM are image and Maya files used in the projects where noted.
