How do you normally plan your time? Most people have a diary based on dates and times. In a diary of that kind time is superior to content. When you learn to do your planning with learning maps the content will be superior to time. That will make you see clearly what is important to do and not only what is to be done.

Planning with time as superior to content leads to an attitude that it is easier to carry out small activities instead of big, important tasks . Planning with content as superior to time gives you an opportunity to make priorities and get the important things done.

• Use the learning map below to fill in all the activities, small as well as big, that you know you have to do next week.

• Make priorities. You can use a few coloured pens and let them symbolize A “B “C or 1 “2 “3, whatever you like, to show different priorities.

• Now is the time to fill in the daily plans in your diary or personal organizer. Make sure you allocate time to the tasks you have put highest priority on.
