By now you should be growing more comfortable with AutoCAD procedures and routines. You've passed beyond basic drawing and can create more complex objects in a few keystrokes or mouse picks. The one thing you still need – and need plenty of – is practice!
Work through the exercises at the end of this lesson. They may take a bit longer than earlier exercises, but that's because the drawings are becoming more complex. Additionally, I'm expecting more from you while providing less.
Our next two lessons will teach you to use the first tools that make AutoCAD something more than a very expensive drafting tool We'll cover blocks in Lesson 18; we'll attach information to blocks in Lesson 19.
Note | Classroom acquired skills are to the mind what paint is to pottery – nothing but surface fluff that fades and disappears with the passing of time. For the skills to become actual knowledge, they must be tempered into the mind's clay through the repeated pounding of experience. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE Anonymous |
