Click on the Maximize button (page icon; second icon from the right) on the title bar of the window.

To return the window to its original size, click on the Restore (double-page) button that has replaced the Maximize button.

Move the mouse to the title bar of the window.

Drag the window to the desired location.

Move the mouse to the edge of the window that is to be adjusted or to the corner joining the two edges to be adjusted.

When the mouse becomes a double arrow, drag the edge or corner until the window has the desired size.

Click on the X button on the far right corner of the title bar.
