From the View menu you can choose which icons and text fields to show in Safari's Address Bar (toolbar). This menu also lets you choose to hide or show the Address Bar, the Bookmarks Bar, and the Status Bar.
Some sites are so beautiful (such as this astrophotography site) that you just don't want to see extra clutter like the Bookmarks Bar. A quick Command Shift B gets rid of it. If you're making a presentation that involves showing a web page, you might even want to hide the Address Bar and the Status Bar. |
