The administrator schedules updates of content sources to provide timely updates while balancing workload of the server. In most cases, content outside the portal is crawled on a daily basis and scheduled for the least busy time of the business day. You can schedule more or less frequent updates to suit your requirements (Figure 13.17). A site that changes only infrequently might be indexed on a weekly rather than a daily basis, and internal portal sites may be crawled every 10 minutes (the default).
