Mastering Business Analysis with Crystal Reports 9 (Wordware Applications Library)
|
With all this hard work that you've done, you'll want to save your work. Crystal Reports saves files in a fashion similar to most Windows applications. To save a report, perform the following steps:
-
Select File, Save As from the menu bar.
-
A Save As dialog box displays, showing the default directory.
This directory designates where the file will be saved. A default filename also displays. You may change either of these defaults to your liking.
-
When you're ready to save your work, press the Save button.
Your reports are saved to the directory specified.
You can designate whether you wish to save your report with or without data. If you save a report with data, the size of the file increases; however, you will not have to refresh the report the first time you open it. If you do not save data with the report, the file is a smaller file size but must refresh the first time it is previewed.
To toggle between these two options, select File, Save Data with Report. A check before this option means that data will save with the report. By default, data saves with a report.
