Switch to the Pointer tool and then hold down Alt (PC) or Option (Mac) as you drag the slice to make a copy of it. Add Shift as you drag to constrain the movement to a vertical line. Choose Edit > Repeat Duplicate to create slices for the remaining months. You learned this method for creating multiple copies of an element in Lesson 5. For this example, the slices need to cover the text. You can adjust the leading of the text to match the individual slices, or move the slices if they are in the wrong position. Tip If you have Snap to Guides turned on, your slices snap to the nearest guide as you move them. Turn off Snap to Guides to make moving the slices easier. |
