• IISFAQ (www.iisfaq.com) Managed by MVP Chris Crowe, this popular site is an essential resource for those who deploy, administer, and troubleshoot IIS. Chris also haunts the IIS newsgroups on news.microsoft.com, offering advice and answering questions.

• IIS Answers (www.iisanswers.com) Managed by Brett Hill, this site has IIS news, articles, FAQs, events, and more. Has an e-mail newsletter you can subscribe to for keeping up with the latest.

• IIS Training (www.iistraining.com) Also managed by Brett Hill, on this site he offers training seminars in IIS administration and security using courseware he has developed.

• IIS Lists (www.iislists.com) A variety of IIS-related mailing lists moderated by Brett Hill.

• IIS Modules (www.iismodules.com) Lots of articles, tutorials, and other info on IIS, ISAPI, ASP, and more. Also has links to third-party IIS add-ons and other useful products.  

• Port80 Software (www.port80software.com) This site features useful add-on modules for improving IIS security and performance.

• Windows Web Solutions (www.windowswebsolutions.com) Part of the Windows and .NET Magazine Network, this site has lots of tutorials, tips, news on IIS, and web-enabled Microsoft technologies. Also has a good newsletter and popular discussion forums.

• IIS-Resources.com (www.iis-resources.com) Managed by Jeff Tindillier, this site has articles, downloads, forums, and lots more of interest to IIS admins.

• IIS Community Center (www.microsoft.com/windows2000/community/centers/iis) A site from Microsoft on which you can access the latest technical information, FAQs, and IIS newsgroups.

• IIS on TechNet (www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/iis) A clearinghouse of resources for deploying, maintaining, and supporting all versions of IIS. Includes tips, downloads, hotfixes, and more.  

• IIS Insider (www.microsoft.com/technet/columns/insider) This popular monthly column has frequently asked IIS questions from customers with answers by Brett Hill.  

• IIS Support Center (support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;iis50) This site currently focuses on resources for IIS 5, but this should change to IIS 6 by the time this book is in print.
