Windows Server 2003 in a Nutshell

You must be a member of the Administrators local group in order to configure the local security policy on a WS2003 computer.

If local policy settings are combined with domain settings, the results are effective settings, which are displayed in the details pane of the console.

The Secedit.exe command-line utility can be used to perform batch analysis on multiple computers in a domain, but you must view the results of the analysis using Security Configuration and Analysis.
