Study Strategies

To understand hardware devices so that you can manage and troubleshoot them, you need to understand what properties and settings can be managed, as well as when manual configuration is necessary. You should have access to a Windows Server 2003 computer, but you won't be missing much if you investigate on a Windows XP computer instead.

Make sure you are familiar with Plug and Play and how it ties in with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) standard.
