The TaskPane Object

The TaskPane object represents a task pane associated with a window of an InfoPath form. Individual TaskPane objects are part of the TaskPanes collection.

InfoPath task panes have a Type property whose value corresponds to the type of task pane:

  • ” A custom task pane

  • 1 ” The Fill Out a Form task pane

  • 2 ” The Design a Form task pane

  • 3 ” The Search Results task pane

  • 4 ” The InfoPath Help task pane

  • 5 ” The Clip Art task pane

  • 6 ” The Find task pane

  • 7 ” The Replace task pane

  • 8 ” The Font task pane

  • 9 ” The Bullets and Numbering task pane

  • 10 ” The Spelling task pane

TaskPane Object Methods

The TaskPane object has no methods.

TaskPane Object Properties

The TaskPane object has two properties:

  • Type ” The type of a task pane, either one of the built-in task panes (type 1 to 10) or a custom task pane (0). Security level 0.

  • Visible ” A Boolean value that indicates whether the task pane is visible. Only one of the built-in task panes or a custom task pane can be visible at one time. Security level 2.
