Understanding the IBM WebFacing Tool: A Guided Tour (IBM Illustrated Guide series)
WebFacing conversion creates JSP files, XML files (for record format layouts), and several other files needed for the Web application you are creating with the Web-Facing Tool.
The Goal of the Exercise
The goal of this exercise is to practice the conversion of a WebFacing project. In this case, you will use the wflabxx project that you created in the previous exercise (Creating a WebFacing Tool Project). In the previous exercise, you specified all of the information necessary for the WebFacing Tool to successfully convert your application. Now you will do the conversion itself.
On the WebFacing Project icon you will select the convert option, to begin the conversion, and you will work with the conversion logs to check the results.
At the end of this exercise, you should be able to
-
Use the WebFacing Tool to select specific source members for conversion
-
Use the WebFacing Tool to start the conversion process
-
Analyze the conversion logs
