Understanding the IBM WebFacing Tool: A Guided Tour (IBM Illustrated Guide series)

In this exercise, you will change the run-time behavior of your application. Instead of using the default user ID and password (the one you used when you selected the members to convert your DDS source), you will now force the user to provide his or her own sign-on information. You just have to remove the user ID and password from the CL command properties. I will also show you how to use your own authentication dialog.

The Goal of the Exercise

The goal of this exercise is to secure your application by making authentication mandatory before anyone can invoke the application.

Right now, the user ID and password are saved inside the application. You will remove the user ID and password information to force authentication, and then you will verify by running the application again.
