Prerequisites

A working TCP/IP network and a working connection to your ISP. A rough understanding of the differences between static and dynamic IP addresses.

Problem: I've got a whole herd of machines, but only one externally addressable IP address. What do I do?

Solution: Well, you could shell out a lot of money, buy a T-1 connection, and then get yourself a Class C address from an ISP. Or you could enable something called IP Masquerading (see the next section, What the Heck Is IPMasquerading ) and go to town with what you've already got.
