A deployment diagram shows the configuration of a set of runtime processing nodes and, optionally , the artifacts that reside on them. Figure 9-13 shows an example that uses user -defined visual stereotypes.

Deployment diagrams are generally put into their own packages, such as the one shown in Figure 9-14.
