In Datasheet view, click in the field in which you want to insert the object.

Open the Insert menu and choose Object .

Click the Create from File option button to select an existing file to insert into the field.

INTRODUCTION

Entering an OLE object in a database is not the same as typing text or numbers . Instead, you open the Insert menu and choose the Object command. You can then select the type of object and the object file to insert.

TIP

Creating a File On-the-Fly

Instead of inserting an existing file, you can also create a new file and insert it. To do so, click Create New in the dialog box shown in step 3, click the type of object you want to insert in the Object Type , and then click OK . Then, create the new object as directed.

You see the Browse dialog box. Click the Browse button to select the file to insert.

Navigate to the drive and folder that contain the file.

Click the file you want to insert and click OK .

TIP

Changing Folders

You can use the Look in drop-down list, the Places bar or the Up One Level button to view the other folders.

The file's name is listed in the dialog box; click OK .

The object is inserted in the field.
