| The shortcut is deleted from your desktop. | TIP What Happens When You Delete? Deleting a shortcut does not delete that program from your hard drive. To delete the program, you must uninstall it or delete the program and its related folders and files (see Task 11). | TIP Change Your Mind? If you change your mind about deleting an item, you can restore items you've relegated to the Recycle Bin. To do so, double-click the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop. In the Recycle Bin window, right-click the item you want to restore, and choose Restore . The item returns to its original location. Close the Recycle Bin by clicking its Close button in the top-right corner of the window. | |
