Windows Explorer opens, displaying the contents of the Start Menu folder in the right-hand pane.

Open the folder in which the new folder should be placed. For this example, I'm placing the new folder within the Programs folder, so I've opened Programs .

Click File , select New , and then click Folder .

INTRODUCTION

When you install a new program, that program's installation process sets up program folders and icons for itself. If you don't like the arrangement of the folders and icons, you can change it. For example, if more than one person uses your PC, you might set up folders for each person and then add the programs that a certain person uses to his or her folder.

The new folder is added to the Start menu in the Programs folder.

Type a descriptive name for the folder, and press the Enter key on your keyboard. The folder is added.

Click the Close button to close Windows Explorer.
