The examples in this book have been built and tested using Windows XP Professional. Most samples will also run using Windows 2000 Server (SP3 recommended). Of course, you'll also need to have Visual Studio .NET installed.

To run some samples, you will also need the following:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later

  • Internet Information Services (IIS)

  • .NET Framework SDK, which installs with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
