Windows Server 2003 on Proliants. Deployment Techniques and Management Tools for System Administrators
< Day Day Up > |
System management of software and hardware resources is essential to maintaining a high degree of reliability and uptime in computing environments whose business demands require highly available data. Proactive monitoring of the systems using third-party tools or scripting allow the Administrator a good chance of preventing problems before they happen. The ProLiant family of servers has also provided a rich array of tools for managing the servers. In addition, WMI, CSVDE, or other scripting methods all permit the Administrator to write custom scripts to make management tasks easier. Some good tips and processes for troubleshooting AD or hardware problems were provided in this chapter to help the Administrator resolve problems quickly without waiting for a call back from the support center. |
