Communication prefs offer advanced ways to connect your handheld to your PC, or connect to a GSM-enabled phone to check your email or surf the Internet (required hardware sold separately). If you work for a company with an IT staff, ask them about the right network settings to use. Real Life: Beam to phone Horace runs a summer camp. Each spring, he likes to remind the parents of the previous year's campers to reserve spots early. Instead of entering all 30 phone numbers manually, he beams the info in his "Parents" Contacts category to his IR-enabled mobile phone. |
