| The Go to URL behavior is essentially the same thing as creating hyperlinks. However, the Go to URL behavior offers a bit more flexibility. A common task for the Go to URL behavior is to hyperlink two pages to open in two different frames in a frameset. Notice in Figure 9.13 that you not only have the option of specifying a link, but you also have the capability to target different frames. Figure 9.13. The Go to URL dialog box offers an option to create a link and target a frame for which that link should appear. To target two frames with the same link, follow these steps: -
Highlight the object that you want to apply the behavior to. If it's text, be sure to place a pound (#) sign in the Link text field of the Properties Inspector to surround the text with an anchor tag. -
In the Behaviors panel, click the Add Behavior (+) button. In the drop-down menu choose Go to URL. This will launch the Go to URL dialog box. -
Highlight which frame you'd like this linked page to open in. -
Either type in a path or browse your hard drive for a file. An asterisk appears next to the frame this link will open in. -
Choose OK to return to the document. -
To apply another link to the same object, repeat steps 1 through 5. |
