Hollywood Special Effects with Adobe Premiere Elements 3

This effect uses four clips that are supplied, which you'll be loading into the project, and one clipa still imagethat you'll be creating. The transporterbeam.avi and transporterbeam.wav clips are two clips that you can use in your own projects to transport whomever you wish using the technique you'll learn in this chapter.

Add Your clips to the Project

Start Premiere Elements and create a new project called BeamMeUp.

Click the Get Media from button on the Media panel to access the Get Media from view.

Select DVD, Digital Camera, Mobile Phone, Hard Drive Camcorder, Card Reader.

When the Media Downloader displays, click the Advanced Dialog button to switch to Advanced mode.

Select the following clips to load:

• transporterbackground.avi

• transporterbeam.avi

• transporterbeam.wav

• transporterman.avi

Click the Get Media button. Premiere Elements copies the clips from the DVD onto your hard drive and adds them to the Available Media list for this project.
