| Most people (correctly) associate the look of night vision with a dark green color. To capitalize on this association, we'll be tinting our clip a deep green as the next step in creating the illusion that our clip was filmed under "night vision" circumstances. To produce this "green-ness," we first apply the Tint video effect in Premiere Elements to the clip. We then tweak the color to achieve an acceptable night vision green. Tint the Clip Green - In the text box on the Effects and Transitions view of the Media panel, type tint.
- Select the Tint effect under the Video Effects in the Image Control category and drag and drop it onto the nightsuspects.avi clip on the Video 1 track on the Timeline.
- With the nightsuspects.avi clip selected on the Timeline, click the triangle next to the Tint effect on the Properties panel to reveal the effect's controls.
- Adjust the Black color value by clicking the black color swatch next to Map Black to and entering the following values in the Color Picker dialog box.
- Click OK to close the Color Picker dialog box.
- Adjust the White color value by clicking the white color swatch next to Map White to and entering the following values in the Color Picker dialog box and clicking OK.:
- Click OK to close the Color Picker dialog box.
- Back on the Properties panel, set the Amount to tint to 100%.
