Apply a particle emitter from the Library Modify a particle emitter Create a particle system Apply behaviors to particles Limit the birthrate and initial number of particles Save a customized particle emitter as a Favorite You've already learned how to apply behaviors and filters to individual objects in Motion. You can also create and animate large numbers of objects quickly and easily using Motion's powerful Particle feature. One of the best ways to understand how particles work is to use them, experiment with them, and see them in action. Motion comes with more than 100 prebuilt particle emitters to choose from in the Library, or you can make your own using virtually any object, including text. Particles come in all shapes and sizes and have many uses. This lesson includes five examples of particles, starting with a simple visual effect from the Library and working up to a complex particle system with behaviors that you build from scratch. |
