10.10. Turn Monitoring Off
When you're recording live audio from a microphone or electronic instrument, and GarageBand is having trouble keeping up, consider turning off the Monitor option (double-click the track header to see it). In most cases, you can hear your voice or instrument live anyway, and turning off Monitoring eases the Mac's burden because it doesn't have to process and play the sound in real time. |
