Appendix B. Oracle Java Utilities Reference

Oracle provides several utilities you will find yourself using on a day-to-day basis when you do SQLJ development. These utilities are all command-line-driven, and are described in the following list:

sqlj

The Oracle SQLJ translator. Use sqlj to translate and compile your SQL programs.

jpub

The JPublisher utility. Use jpub to create Java classes that correspond to Oracle database object types.

loadjava

Use loadjava to load class, ZIP, JAR, SQLJ, and resource files into an Oracle database.

dropjava

Use dropjava to remove class, ZIP, JAR, SQLJ, and resource files from an Oracle database.

deployejb

Use deployejb to load Enterprise JavaBeans into an Oracle database.

This appendix shows you how to invoke each of these utilities and describes the command-line options supported for Version 8.1.6 of each utility.
