Managing Software Deliverables: A Software Development Management Methodology

Test plans should thoroughly consider how to effectively evaluate every single aspect of the product's functionality. For software products, each step in the testing phase should include both white and black box testing (or equivalents) in order to ensure stability from the inside out. Formal execution of test cases for the project deliverables will occur in SEP Phase V. Your overall project test plan should cover, at a minimum, six major areas:

1. Stress Test Plan

2. Integration Test Plan

3. Software Test Plan

4. Product Assurance Test

5. User Acceptance Test

6. MIS/Outside Certification Plan
