Customizing Windows XP: Visual QuickProject Guide

Folder windows have several toolbars that you can hide or modify. Each toolbar has a different set of functions that can often be found in the related menus, making the toolbar unnecessary.

First, we'll hide the Address bar.

We're now going to modify the icon toolbar, remove some icons, add some new ones, and move things around a bit.

The Favorites icon has been added above the separator.

You can rearrange the icons and separators on the toolbar by dragging them up and down in the Current toolbar buttons pane. Items at the top of the list will be located on the left of the toolbar; bottom items are on the right of the toolbar.

The toolbar now sports a new Favorites icon, and the Move To and Copy To icons are gone.
