Switch Between Users p. 120 The reason you can switch from one user to another without closing your programs is that a feature called fast user switching is turned on by default when you create new user accounts. This works great for a home or small office PC. However, if you are concerned about security, you can turn off fast user switching, which would require that all programs close and Windows shut down before allowing another user to log on. To disable fast user switching, go to the Start menu, click Control Panel, and open the User Accounts category. Now click Change the Way Users Log On and Off. You can now uncheck Use Fast User Switching.
