Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 Studio Techniques
When adding and adjusting effects, always watch out for the keyframing states of the parameters and the position of the CTI. Often, if you are not paying close attention, you will get so involved in setting your parameters accurately that you will make three adjustments at different frames in your clipbut all will be moot because you forgot to turn on the keyframing stopwatch (the Toggle Animation button). Learn the rules, then expect results. Just as it is important for editing and viewing, the CTI position plays a vital role in the applying of effects. The Effect Controls panel is always active, even when it is underneath another panel. The panel always displays the effect attributes of whatever clip is selected in the timeline. If you have the screen real estate luxury of being able to have your Effect Controls panel open at a big size, then by all means do it. The ease of jumping among your timeline, clips, and Effect Controls panel helps build a healthy workflow for adding and adjusting any effect. You are down the home stretch in getting a basic understanding of the application. The next chapter reviews some of the important audio rules and introduces the Audio Mixer panel. |
