Special Edition Using Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003

Microsoft sometimes makes new templates available for download from Microsoft Office Online. To see what's new and to download templates that interest you, choose Format, Slide Design to open the Slide Design task pane and scroll to the end of the design template list. The very last item in the list is Design Templates on Microsoft Office Online. Click it. Microsoft Office Online opens in your browser to the PowerPoint Design Templates page, as Figure 6.8 shows.

To preview a template, click its hyperlink. The preview appears, as Figure 6.9 shows. If you like the template, click Download Now to download it.

NOTE

The first time you download a template, Microsoft Office Online installs the Microsoft Office Template and Media Control, a small piece of software that lets Microsoft Office Online open the appropriate Office program when you download a template. When the installation finishes, click Continue to download the template.

After the download finishes, PowerPoint creates a new presentation using the new template.
