This appendix provides a list of useful resources for MathML users. The resources include Web sites with informative content, software products, e-mail discussion lists, and books on topics relevant to MathML.

W3C Math Working Group

The official Web site of the W3C Math Working Group. The site includes links to the official MathML 2.0 specification, products that support MathML, as well as the latest news and updates.

Universal MathML Stylesheet

This Web site provides information on the Universal MathML stylesheet along with a current list of browsers that can render MathML using this stylesheet.

Mozilla

This is the official Web site of the Mozilla MathML project. It includes instructions for authoring documents for Mozilla, sample pages for testing if your browser can render MathML, tips on installing and configuring mathematical fonts, and other information.

MathML Central

This is a nicely designed site with configurable interactive tools for experimenting with MathML. You can render MathML equations as images, convert mathematical expressions into MathML, validate MathML, and process XHTML documents that contain MathML. You can also create plots and evaluate integrals of functions specified as MathML. The site is hosted by Wolfram Research, the makers of Mathematica.

Mathematical Functions

This is one of the largest repositories of MathML content on the Web. You can see the MathML markup for several thousand formulas dealing with mathematical functions. This site is also maintained by Wolfram Research.

This Web site provides detailed reference information on all MathML elements and attributes. You can download the source code for examples of all MathML elements. The source code is available as MathML fragments or embedded in an XHTML file for viewing in a browser.

MathML Information Center

This Web site offers an introductory tutorial on MathML, reference information on elements and attributes, sample documents, and links to more information. This site is hosted by Design Science, the makers of MathPlayer, MathType, and WebEQ.

ORCCA MathML page

This Web site provides information on MathML-related projects at the Ontario Research Center for Computer Algebra. This site includes links to online converters for translating LaTeX to MathML and vice versa.

Mathzilla

This Web site contains information on converting TeX documents into XHTML+MathML so they can be rendered in Mozilla.

MathML Conference

This Web site offers downloadable talks and presentations given at the Second International MathML conference, which was held in Chicago, IL, in June 2002.
